Advent Calendar

I had a plan for this year's advent calendar... but at the last minute, it had to change. So, I've come up with something different.

This year's calendar will be comprised of Ricky Ross live tracks. Half of them were recorded on the Short Stories 2 tour - the other half are much older - and come from soundboard recordings I got back in 2016, and never did anything with.

It will be one track a day. If I miss a day, don't panic - I'll catch up when I can... I'll alternate between 2022 and older...

And as for what was originally planned? Well, there's always next year... but no promises.

And with that, we come to the end of this year's Advent Calendar. There was only ever one track that I was going to end with.

And now the special Christmas present. Here's a gig that has been locked in the vaults for 34 years. It just happens to be the first Deacon Blue gig that I ever went to (but that's a coincidence) - and the recording was recovered around the same time as the gig that ended up in the boxed set for 'The Believers.' It's completely unedited from the original transfer - so warts and all - but here is Deacon Blue at Leeds University on the 21st October 1988.
